Director General William Fan and Mrs. Fan attended the 112th National Day flag-raising ceremony of the Republic of China (Taiwan)

On the morning of Sunday, October 8, Director General William Fan and Mrs. Fan, accompanied with all TECO’s staff, attended the 112th National Day flag-raising ceremony of the Republic of China (Taiwan) held by the Taiwanese community at the plaza in front of the Queensland Taiwan Centre.
DG Fan thanked audience to attend the ceremony, and thanked Phyllis Lo, chairman of the preparatory committee, Queensland Hakka Association and preparatory committee members for organizing the ceremony.
DG Fan emphasized that the strategic position of Taiwan in the Asia-Pacific region. And high-level official delegations from the United States, Japan, the European Union, the Australian Parliaments and the Queensland Treasurer visited Taiwan recently, demonstrating the strong support and attachment of international friends to Taiwan.
Our country will continue to cooperate with countries that share similar democratic value, strengthen partnerships, connect with the world, and let the world know that Taiwan can help. Director Fan also thanked everyone who attended the event including the Federal Senator, Members of Queensland Parliament, Brisbane City Councilors, Queensland Police Service, leaders of Taiwanese companies and associations, and fellow Taiwanese expatriate and immigrants.
