Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Chennai is organizing "Taiwanese Arts Week" from 26th July 2017 to 2nd August 2017, to implement the New South Bound Policy to promote cultural exchanges between south India and Taiwan.
A delegation of 20 members of Da-Guan Dance Theater, Department of Dance, National Taiwan University of Arts, led by president of the University, Dr. Chen Zhi-Cheng, will perform "Splendor of Taiwan" at 18:30, 26th July, at Rani Seethai Hall Chennai. It is free admission, all are welcome to come to experience Taiwanese traditional folk dances.
Apart from the "Splendor of Taiwan" dance performance, TECC in Chennai is also organizing "Taiwan Film Festival" from 31st July to 2nd August at Russian Center of Science and Culture, Chennai. Five Taiwanese awarded films, "Tomorrow comes Today", "A Time in Quchi", "The Boar King", "Partners in Crime" and "The Losers" will be screened at the Festival. Free Admission .
