Preface:
With a view to encourage outstanding international students to undertake degree studies in Taiwan to familiarize themselves with the academic environment in Taiwan, and promote understanding and friendship between Taiwan and global community, the Ministry of Education (MOE) in the Republic of China (Taiwan) has just announced its 2017 Taiwan Scholarship for application as of today.

Award Value:
Tuition and payment of academic fees, including credit fee. Each recipient per semester up to NTD40, 000.
Subsistence allowance: undergraduate studies: a monthly stipend of NTD15, 000, postgraduate studies and doctorate studies: a monthly stipend of NTD20, 000,
The maximum period of each scholarship is four years for undergraduate programs, two years for master programs, and four years for doctorate programs.
Eligibility: Applicants must be citizens of the Baltic States, above the age of 18, who possess a high school diploma or above, and demonstrate excellent academic performance. (Applicants of other nationalities need to apply to the Taiwan Consulates or Missions in their native countries.)
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. Applicants must be awarded with an admission of accredited Taiwanese university in advance.
2. Required documents: an admission issued by an accredited Taiwanese university, highest education certificate, transcript of last education year, an application form,passport and one photo.

3. Taipei Mission in Latvia plans to notify the winner of scholarship after evaluation at 18 June 2017.
