On the evening of July 20, Mr. Jiang Wen-tong, Chairman of the Hakka Society of New Zealand, hosted a banquet to welcome Mr. Chen Jin-yu and his wife, President of the Xinyi Hall in French Polynesia, as well as Mr. Zou Qing-jian, the abbot of the Guandi Temple, among a group of five. After nearly a year of communication and the first online exchange on June 15, both parties finally met in person on the 20th. Although the Hakka community in Tahiti has settled there for over a century, they continue to communicate in Hakka and adhere to traditional Hakka customs, which is truly touching.
