From September 22 to October 1, 2023, The Creative Expo Taiwan 2023 (CET 2023) will be held at the Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-LAB), The Preparatory Office of National Railway Museum, Taipei Expo Park, Huashan 1949 Creative Park and Songshan Cultural and Creative Park with four major themes: “Cultural Curation”, “Cultural Brands”, “IP Licensing”, and Cultural Performances.
Also for the first time, National Taiwan Museum, National Museum of Taiwan History, National Museum of Prehistory, National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute and Zeelandia Museum are invited as subsidiary exhibition areas of CET 2023. With these various venues and themes, CET 2023 will become the largest CET with the most exhibition halls, and a grand event to showcase Taiwan’s multicultural vitality.
As the center stage of the CET 2023, the C-Lab area will be organized under the theme “Open C-Lab and Unlock the Futures”. C-Lab will seamlessly merge art, technology, and generative AI while exploring the potential of public space utilization within the complex. In additions, “The Working in Progress X GPU” project transforms the monumental Old Office Building at C-LAB into a sound and light stage through interactive technology and audio-visual integration inviting the public to experience the innovative site of the Air Force Command Headquarters. The "FOCASA Circus Art Festival" will also present their duo circus at C-Lab area. Except the wonderful circus performances, it also gathers performances by Taiwan's top teams in various fields such as U Theatre, Bulareyaung Dance Company. The circus tents will be not only mobile theaters, but also an organic and unrestricted experimental field, breaking the audience's perception of traditional circus performances. The C-Lab will become the capital's a new variety of performance energy and a place of spiritual pilgrimage with more than one hundred performances during the expo.
For IP- Licensing and cultural creative products trading, there are more than 540 exhibitors and 130 new entrepreneurs in CET 2023 divided in three areas: Taipei Expo Park, Huashan 1949 Creative Park and Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. It is the largest numbers after the epidemic. At the National Railway Museum area, visitors can take a ride in a historic blue train DR2303 to the exhibition area. Through the theme exhibition, they can better understand the National Railway Museum and experience the integration and charm of historical space and railway.
In addition to the five main exhibition areas, CET 2023 invites National Taiwan Museum, National Museum of Taiwan History, National Museum of Prehistory, and the Zeelandia Museum as subsidiary exhibition areas. They organize under the subject "Taiwan’s encounter with the world" a series of exhibition, telling the story of Taiwan history with multiple perspectives. For the activities, visitors also have wild range of choices like archaeological dig experience, overnight stays in museums, tracing the path of predecessors, visiting to museum depot, finding historical relics and various workshops.
