The 2024 Thailand Taiwan Higher Education Fair and Job Counseling Event will be held from August 30 to 31 at Samyan Mitrtown in Bangkok. This event aims to deepen educational exchanges between Taiwan and Thailand, promote mutual understanding, foster close international partnerships, and enhance the visibility of Taiwanese higher education. It also seeks to increase Thai students' interest in pursuing higher education and employment opportunities in Taiwan.
Scheduled from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day, the fair will feature 27 prestigious Taiwanese universities and institutions showcasing their international programs and scholarship opportunities. This year, the event expands its scope by including the business sector, with seven Taiwanese companies participating to recruit Thai-speaking talent.
The participating institutions will provide detailed information about their programs, admission procedures, and scholarships. The Steering Committee for the Test of Proficiency-Huayu will also be present to offer comprehensive details on TOCFL for students interested in studying in Taiwan. Additionally, seven Taiwanese companies will be on-site to provide job counseling for Thai students. Attendees will not only gain valuable insights into studying and working abroad but will also have the chance to participate in a lucky draw, with prizes including a free three-month Mandarin Chinese language course provided by Taiwan’s Language Centers. Thai students, teachers, and parents are warmly encouraged to participate.
Taiwan's high-quality higher education has received international acclaim and is a key driver of the country’s economic growth. It has become a top choice for students from Southeast Asian countries seeking further education abroad, with the number of international students in Taiwan in 2023 surpassing 110,000, including a record 6,118 students from Thailand. Taiwan's excellent learning environment helps students enhance their English and Mandarin Chinese language skills, enrich their international cultural exchange experiences, and improve their competitiveness in the job market.
In addition to close educational cooperation, Taiwan and Thailand are committed to providing more practical training opportunities for students, such as Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy International Industry-Academia Cooperation Programs, which offer Thai students additional training opportunities.
