Ambassador Hsu's Successful Visit to Tasmania Strengthening Ties

Ambassador Hsu visited Tasmania from October 17 to 19, during which he met with Deputy Premier Guy Barnett and the Minister for Business, Industry and Resources, Eric Abetz. He also held discussions with Senator Catryna Bilyk, fostering friendly relations between both sides.
Additionally, Ambassador Hsu attended a lecture on the book Revolutionary Taiwan: Making Nationhood in a Changing World Order, co-authored by Associate Professor Mark Harrison from the University of Tasmania and Assistant Professor Chou Yi-Ling from National Chengchi University. Ambassador Hsu was invited to deliver a speech at the event, where he expressed high regard for the publication.
During this visit, the Taiwanese Association in Tasmania held its inaugural "Double Tenth National Day Celebration Dinner." Ambassador Hsu and his spouse, Minister Abetz, and Director-General of the Melbourne Office were invited to join the celebration with local Taiwanese. The event was filled with enthusiasm, and attendees noted its special significance.
This visit achieved fruitful outcomes, further enhancing the exchanges and cooperation between Taiwan and Tasmania.
