Director General Tao attended the event along with local dignitaries and leaders of Taiwanese community. Chun Tian Temple hosted the annual Brisbane Buddha Birth Day Festival since 1997. This event has now become one of Queensland’s most notable cultural festivities, recognised for promoting peace, as well as celebrating Australia’s harmony and diversity.
Chung Tian Temple was founded by Venerable Master Hsing Yun, he is the founder of the Fo Guang Shan International Buddhist Order, which is headquartered in Taiwan. The Fo Guang Shan International Buddhist Order operates over 200 temples in five continents, with six million followers worldwide.
