The Queensland Taiwanese Association recently held a community seminar at the Taiwan Centre in Queensland to discuss Taiwan’s participation in the World Health Assembly (WHA), attracting around 70 members of the Taiwanese community and supporters.
Director-General Fan of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Brisbane highlighted Taiwan’s strengths in smart healthcare, AI-driven disease prediction, National Health Insurance, and digital health systems. He emphasized that Taiwan’s participation in the WHO and WHA would contribute significantly to global public health and health resilience.
The event also featured presentations on consular and overseas community affairs services, including passport applications, emergency assistance, anti-scam awareness, and regulations for overseas Taiwanese conscripts. The seminar concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation and exchanges.
