The Taiwan Fellowship Program is established and funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to award foreign experts and scholars who are interested in the research fields of social sciences and humanities related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, Asia-Pacific region and Sinology to conduct advanced research at universities or academic institutions in Taiwan.
This year, besides the above-mentioned fields, Taiwan Fellowship Programs encourages studies on topics relevant to Taiwan’s main policy or major diplomacy engagements, such as regional security studies, post-pandemic political and economic developments and gender-equality.
Please also note:
1. Online applications open from 1st May to 30th June 2024. A publication list must be included in the resume. Apply on https://taiwanfellowship.ncl.edu.tw and find more information for Guidelines in Mandarin/ English, Application Procedure and FAQ.
2. After completing online application, please mail hard-copy application documents including (1) printed application form (received via email after submitting online application); (2) resume (including a publication list); (3) a three-page (in principal) research proposal in Mandarin or English with standard research format; (4) two letters of recommendation(one of them could be a consent letter from the chief administrator of the applicant’s institute) by 30th June 2024 to Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Melbourne (Level 46, 80 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000).
3. The list of recipients will be released approximately early November 2024.
