The Luxembourgish Parliament passed unanimously a motion regarding Taiwan on May 17, 2022, calling on the Luxembourgish government to continue to strengthen economic, scientific and cultural relations with Taiwan; to support Taiwan's effective participation in the WHO’s technical meetings as an observer; to maintain the status quo in the Taiwan Strait as well as peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region, as it is of fundamental interest to the EU and its Member States.
In addition, more than half of the members of the Luxembourgish Parliament co-signed a joint letter proposed by the Formosa Club delivering to WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, supporting Taiwan’s WHO participation.
We are sincerely grateful to the Luxembourgish Parliament for its support for the participation of Taiwan in international organizations and further strengthening Taiwan-Luxembourg cooperation!
