Ambassador Roy Chun Lee joined the graduation ceremony of "École Sun Yat-sen de Belgique"

Ambassador Lee and colleagues from Taipei Representative Office were invited to attend the graduation ceremony of "École Sun Yat-sen de Belgique" on Saturday, June 21st. Ms. Miao-Erh Liu, the school's chairwoman, Mr. Shan-Lin Lai, Commissioner of Overseas Community Affairs Council of Taiwan (OCAC), Ms. Foncy KUO, Senior Adviser of OCAC, Board Member, Ms. Hsin-Hua Tai, the school’s principal, and Mr. Chi-Kang Chang, the school’s board member also jointed the event.
Through his inspiring speech during the ceremony, Ambassador Lee expressed thanks to all the board members, teachers and students’ hard work, and encouraged the students to persist in enhancing their traditional Chinese language skills. “You will realize that language is a bridge that can lead you to the heart of Taiwanese culture, because only by understanding the language and script of our own country can we truly experience its unique cultural heritage and charm,” added the Ambassador. Moreover, students showcased what they had learned through performing short skits, reciting poetry, dancing, and presenting several musical pieces.
