Ambassador David Kuan-Chou Chien was pleased to meet with Dr. Barnabe Carrillo from the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, as well as three radiographers- Mr. Gil Portillo & Mrs. Lilian Pascual-Portillo from KHMH, and Ms. Aramilda Arredondo from Western Regional Hospital, before their departure to Taiwan.
Dr. Carrillo is one of the best #neuroradiology doctors in Belize and will receive a 9-month clinical training program in Far Eastern Memorial Hospital (FEMH) of Taiwan. Meanwhile, the other three hardworking and outstanding radiographers will also receive a 3-month medical image training program in the FEMH under the Project of Strengthening Medical Imaging System cooperated by the Governments of Taiwan and Belize. After finishing the training in Taiwan, they will all come back to Belize to share with other medical personnel the knowledge and experience they gained from the training program.
The Embassy wishes all these dedicated medical service providers a safe and joyful journey, and a fruitful and enriching learning experience in Taiwan. We would also like to take the opportunity, once again, to express our heartfelt appreciation to the people and the Government of Belize for supporting Taiwan’s participation in the World Health Organization (WHO) and its annual Assembly.
