Upon the invitation of Hon. Dolores Balderamos-García, Minister of Human Development, Families and Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs, Ambassador David Kuan-Chou Chien had the pleasure to meet with Ms. Veronica Burgos, Program Director of “GOLD - Group Of Ladies in Development” at Ladyville Community Center, and to engage with the participants of the women empowerment training courses run by Ms. Burgos. During the conversation, Ambassador emphasized the important role of women in Belize’s economic recovery, and applauded the efforts of Ms. Burgos and her Organization to enhance the economic capabilities and livelihoods of local Belizean women.
