Congratulations to BELTRAIDE for setting up two incubation centers for business women in Belize!
Today, Ambassador David Kuan-Chou Chien was delighted to attend the launching ceremony of two incubation centers of Beltraide, jointly with Ms. Narda Garcia, CEO of Office of the Prime Minister and Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment, Mr. Allen Pollard Jr., Deputy Mayor of Belize City, Mr. Edmund Kwan, Councillor of Belize City Council, Dr. Leroy Almendarez, Executive Director of Beltraide, and Mrs. Orla Kantun-Coleman, Director of International Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as Mr. Robert Pan, Chief of Taiwan Technical Mission in Belize. The two incubation centers, one of them is mobile and remodeled from a van, are managed by Beltraide and funded by TaiwanICDF under the Belize-Taiwan cooperative framework of the Project titled "Enhancing the Economic Empowerment of Women in Belize in the COVID-19 Post Pandemic Era: Technical Assistance for Women's Employment, Entrepreneurship and Financial Inclusion", with the propose to enhance capacity building for women and to promote female entrepreneurs of MSMEs in Belize.
As women are the backbones of our society and the key of national development, we hope these two centers can help provide the entrepreneurship-driven environment and adequate resources to more businesswomen, thus to support MSMEs in the country and boost economy of Belize during the post-pandemic era.
As Taiwan is a reliable ally of Belize, the Taiwan Embassy will continue to work with the Government of Belize to assist female entrepreneurs of MSMEs in Belize and to enhance the benefit of Belizean people.
