Ambassador Chi pays a courtesy visit to Speaker Woods

Ambassador Amino Chi paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Valerie Woods, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Belize at the National Assembly in Belmopan on May 5.
Their cordial discussions focused on parliamentary diplomacy, and reaffirmed a shared commitment to strengthening bilateral exchanges and cooperation grounded in common values and principles.
Ambassador Chi expressed his appreciation to the House of Representatives for its longtime support for democratic Taiwan and strengthening bilateral bonds.
Speaker Woods indicated that Taiwan is an important partner for the national development of Belize. She thanked the People and Government of Taiwan for providing seed capital to kick-start the renovation of the National Assembly, and expressed a strong commitment to promoting enduring friendship between Taiwan and Belize.
