The Ministry of Economic Affairs' Hydrogen Promotion Task Force visited Canada in April to attend the "Taiwan-Canada Hydrogen Roundtable Meeting." The Bureau of Energy stated today that Canada is striving to become a major global supplier of hydrogen, making it an important partner for Taiwan. Both sides will continue to explore cooperation opportunities in hydrogen and various energy fields.
According to a press release from the Bureau of Energy, the "Taiwan-Canada Hydrogen Visit Delegation," led by Director-General You Jhen-wei of the Bureau of Energy, met with federal and provincial energy authorities in Canada, as well as key players in the hydrogen industry.
On April 19, the delegation held the "Taiwan-Canada Hydrogen Roundtable Meeting" with Canada's Department of Natural Resources (NRCan), where both sides shared policies, strategies, and current developments in hydrogen promotion.
The Bureau of Energy stated that in the future, both sides will continue discussions to establish a regular energy dialogue platform, actively promoting cooperation and exchanges. This meeting marks the consensus between the two sides in the field of hydrogen energy, opening a new chapter for future cooperation between Taiwan and Canada in hydrogen technology, policies, and development.
