Overseas Chinese/Taiwanese Community in Montreal and Ottawa to host Memorial Activities for 70th Anniversary of Victory of War against Japan

Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Canada and the overseas Chinese/Taiwanese Community in Montreal and Ottawa are to host memorial activities for 70th Anniversary of Victory of War against Japan. Memorial activities in Montreal including luncheon and symposium will take place at Jardin De Jade Poon Kai Restaurant (67 Rue de la Gauchetière Ouest, Montréal) on July 4. And the War History Documents Exposition Opening Ceremony will be at Overseas Chinese/Taiwanese Library (112 Rue de la Gauchetière Ouest, Montréal) after the symposium.

Memorial symposium and reception at Ottawa will be at the Auditorium of Ottawa Public Library Metcalfe Branch (120 Metcalfe St., Ottawa) on July 11 at 1 p.m. Ambassador Bruce J.D. Linghu of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Canada will attend and deliver the keynote speech. (E)
