The Taipei Liaison office in Cape Town was pleased to participate in the 32nd SAIIA Interschool Quiz organized by the Western Cape Branch of the South African Institute of International Affairs and to sponsor the first-place prize. Students from 32 schools formed 56 teams to compete, with quiz topics covering international current events, international organizations, climate change, space travel, international stock markets, and the AI boom, etc.
Taiwanese badminton players Lee Yang and Wang Chi-lin, who made history by becoming the first men's doubles team to win back-to-back Olympic gold medals, were also featured in one of the quiz questions. SAIIA encourages students to stay informed about international affairs in an era where information changes rapidly.
