Director-General Liang attends the Lunar New Year celebration organized by the Chinese Community Centre of Ontario

Director-General Yi-Peng Liang of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, Toronto, is invited by the Chinese Community Centre of Ontario and celebrates the Lunar New Year with MP Judy Sgro, Chair of the Taiwan-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Group, MP Leah Taylor Roy, MP Jean Yip, MP Salma Zahid, Mr. Aris Babikian of the MPP candidate and the overseas compatriots in the Greater Toronto Area.

"This is the 14th event that I have participated in in the last 12 days since I took office," Director-General Liang says in his remarks, and he has been impressed by Toronto's liveliness and variety! The principles of democracy, freedom and multiculturalism are shared by Taiwan and Canada, and he is proud to be a member of the Greater Toronto community. Additionally, Director-General Liang shares with the participants the beautiful meaning of this year’s spring couplets and red envelope from President Ching-te Lai and Vice President Bi-khim Hsiao, Taiwan, and wishes everyone a prosperous and fruitful year of Snake!
