Hosted at George Brown Polytechnic (GBP)—a premier institution widely renowned for its world-class culinary arts program and exceptional culinary education—the 2026 “Taiwan Eats X Mandarin Learning” was jointly organized by Taiwan Entrepreneurs Society Taipei/Toronto (TESTT) and Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML)!
This special event seamlessly blended authentic Taiwanese food culture with Mandarin language promotion, delivering a rich and memorable cultural feast to Toronto.
Culinary Excellence
Award-winning Chef Chang Ke-Chin and Assistant Chef Lu Kai-Yuan captivated the audience with traditional and creative dishes, including Taiwanese Gua Bao, Shilin stir-fried squid soup, mullet roe cheese cranberry rolls, and lemon shredded king oyster mushrooms.
Cultural Exchange
Over 100 guests—including local dignitaries, GBP culinary faculty, TCML students, FASCA volunteers, and TECO Director-General Liang—joined the hands-on cooking experience to celebrate Taiwan's rich food heritage and Mandarin language culture.
