The 7th Taiwan-Finland Trade Talk held in Taiwan on December 13th was a great success. Representative Janet Chang joined the conference remotely from Finland. It covered economic and trade topics of mutual interest, such as energy, digital health and digitalization, decarbonization and green transition. Both Taiwan and Finland shared the ambition to become carbon neutral by increasing renewable energy sources. Due to similar social, health, and demographic challenges, both countries will strive to develop information and communication technology in the medical and health field.
Last year, the bilateral trade between Taiwan and Finland reached over US$ 800 million, which grew by 30% from 2020. Taiwan and Finland are like-minded partners and will continue to work together to explore more business opportunities.
The Trade Talk is a governmental platform for promoting trade and economy between Taiwan and Finland.
