We are thrilled to facilitate a unique and significant cultural exchange project between Taiwan’s Hualien County Government and the Rautavaara City Government in Finland. This project holds immense cultural significance and underscores the power of art and international collaboration.
As part of this exchange, the Hualien County Government will select and fund a stone artist to travel to Rautavaara for an artist-in-residence project this July. The Rautavaara City Government will provide board and lodging for the artist during their one-and-a-half-month stay. The completed stone sculpture, crafted using local Lilac Pearl stone, will be presented as a gift to the City of Rautavaara.
We are grateful for the collaboration between Hualien and Rautavaara in establishing the first-ever artist-in-residence project between Taiwan and Finland.
