The Taiwan International Healthcare Training Center (TIHTC) was established on August 29, 2002 by the Taipei Hospital, Ministry of Health and Welfare. The Center offers training and exchange programs for medical professionals from around the world to train in Taiwan.
In 2017, the TIHTCT will continue to provide Clinical Training Program and 3 Project Training Programs as follows:
- International Acupuncture Traditional Medicine Training (application deadline: July 31, 2017)
International Acupuncture Traditional Medicine (ATM) has become a popular treatment across the world. To give international foreigner medical practitioners a chance to learn Chinese medicine, the TIHTC designed a two- week training course that includes the academic know-how and medical practice of traditional Chinese medicine, as well as visiting Chinese herbal pharmaceutical companies. The course attendees will gain further understanding in traditional Chinese medicine through differentiating herbs, its medicinal values and acupuncture.
- Emergency Care Management Training (application deadline: Aug. 31, 2017)
The Program was established to address challenges and take the lead in efforts to reduce global surgical burdens as a result of injuries, pregnancy-related complications, congenital anomalies, cancer, diabetic complications, infections, humanitarian crises and other surgical conditions. This program contains TIHTC recommendations for minimum standards to improve quality and safety of emergency, surgery, trauma, obstetrics and anaesthesia at first-referral level health-care facilities.
- Health Care Management Leadership Training (application deadline: Sept. 15, 2017)
The objectives of this workshop are to improve concepts and skills in healthcare management, promote the leadership and intellectual development in the management of international healthcare affairs, and to facilitate international exchanges on healthcare affairs.
