In 2025, Jakarta Taipei School Kindergarten (Jakarta Taipei School TK) hosted the "Luck Turns with the Snake, Auspicious Wishes" Lunar New Year celebration, which took place in a lively atmosphere on the January 17th! The Lunar New Year is one of the most important traditional celebrations in Chinese culture, reflecting the rhythm of life, customs, entertainment, and cultural values of the Chinese people. The school hopes to pass these meanings on to the children, helping them understand the significance of the New Year and its customs in Chinese culture. To create a festive and vibrant atmosphere, all the teachers and students worked together to decorate the school, ensuring that every corner was filled with joy and prosperity.
This year's event, in addition to a joyful dance session led by all the teachers and parents, also featured the adorable and heartfelt New Year's greetings from the kindergarten students, bringing endless praise and laughter to the scene. Principal Chen Jingfen and Parent Association Chairperson Liu Jinying personally handed out red envelopes to each child, wishing them a prosperous new year ahead.
The teachers of the four classes organized various challenge stations, including "Sharp Shooter," "Sweet and Fun," "Snakes and Ladders," and "Spring Breeze Welcomes the New Year," making the celebration's excitement reach its peak. With traditional New Year's music in the background, parents and children teamed up to complete challenges around the school. After successfully completing all the activities, they received a special New Year's meal box and enjoyed festive snacks in the outdoor area. They also had the chance to take photos together at the stage photo booth. The event was a bustling success, much like a grand carnival, full of New Year excitement!
As with previous years, this New Year's event was designed to invite all parents and children to join in the fun as a celebratory party to mark the end of the semester. In the new year, we wish everyone peace and joy—may the Year of the Snake bring great fortune to all!
