Ten-member of medical representatives from National Taiwan University Hospital Yunlin Branch, led by Superintendent Ma Hui-ming, went to Surabaya and Malang, Indonesia, for an international medical exchange from 2024 October 20 to 26. “NTUH - Personal Healthcare” was held on the evening of the 22nd. Five doctors and one professional explained new medical knowledge and the application of AI technology in medical care. More than 80 guests, Taiwan Business Club members and diaspora members attended the workshop.
In his speech, Superintendent Ma said that in recent years, there has been a lot of medical cooperation between Taiwan and Indonesia, and both sides have developed and benefited from the cooperation. This time the team of NTUH Hospital Yunlin Branch visited, would like to share relevant medical knowledge with Taiwan Business Club, Taiwan Indonesia Alumni Organisation and Taiwanese diaspora friends, to maintain everyone's health, wishing the guests present a healthy family and good business.
Council Member of the Overseas Community Affairs Council Grace Huang said this workshop was very popular, hopefully the guests will benefit a lot and also encourage the diaspora community to go to Taiwan to experience the advanced medical examination in Taiwan, to ensure their own health.
Director General of Teto Surabaya, Isaac Chiu, in his speech said, there are two of Taiwan's most advanced industries, semiconductor and medical technology, especially Taiwan's medical standards which rank top in the world. Today I am very pleased that Superintendent Ma led the group of Yunlin branch of National Taiwan University Hospital to visit, giving a wonderful explanation to everyone, and I hope this workshop will be success.
The origin of this event is that in December 2017, Superintendent Ma first led a group to Jakarta and Malang for international exchange. In 2019, the medical group visited Surabaya and Malang for international medical exchanges, after which due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2023 the new group returned to Surabaya and Malang to conduct international medical exchanges.
