"2019 East Asia Film Festival Ireland--Taiwan Cinema Programme: Tsai Ming-Liang and Lee Kang-Sheng " will be staged at the "Irish Film Institute (IFI)" cinema from April 11th to 14th, this year. The EAFFI 2019 will invite internationally renowned Taiwan director Tsai Ming-Liang and his long-time collaborator, actor Lee Kang-Sheng to visit in Dublin to participate in the event.
The EAFFI 2019 will present rare screenings of two of Tsai’s classic films, The River and I Don’t Want to Sleep Alone, plus his latest, Your Face. Tsai and Lee will also take part in a Masterclass, supported by Screen Skills Ireland and moderated by renowned critic Tony Rayns, on Saturday 13th.
In addition, the "A Family Tour" film produced by Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia will also be shown during the festival. In order to increase the diversification of the festival, the EAFFI 2019 will also showcase a number of East Asian films, and everyone is welcome to participate.
