Apply for Taiwan Scholarship/Huayu Enrichment Scholarship 2025/2026 Academic Year

To promote knowledge, understanding, and friendship between Taiwan and Israel and to encourage outstanding international students to undertake degree programs in Taiwan, the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the Republic of China (Taiwan) offers two kinds of scholarships for the next academic year:

Taiwan Scholarship

Duration:

Master's Degree: 2 years
Ph.D. Program: 4 years

The MOE awards each recipient tuition of up to 40,000 NTD per semester (approx. 1,285 US$). If the total amount of tuition should exceed 40,000 NTD, the remainder of all costs shall be covered by the recipient or the recipient's university. Tuition and Academic fees do not include any of the following: administration fees, thesis-advising fees, insurance premiums, accommodation, and Internet access, all of which are payable by the recipients.
The MOE offers each recipient undertaking graduate studies a monthly stipend of 20,000 NTD (approx. 642 US$).
Applicants must apply directly to universities by the specified deadlines and attach the universities' application confirmation to their Taiwan Scholarship application.
The scholarship recipient is responsible for tuition and all living expenses.

Huayu Enrichment Scholarship

Duration:

3 Months up to 1 year, depending on your study program.

The MOE awards each recipient a monthly stipend of 25,000 NTD - (approx. 803 US$).
Scholarship recipient is responsible for tuition and all living expenses.

Application Requirements and Timeline
Application Submission: From January 24, 2025 to March 24, 2025	Please submit the following documents: One completed application form (ensure you use the correct form for your desired scholarship) A photocopy of your most recent academic transcript (all documents must be in English) A photocopy of your passport A signed "Terms of Agreement" form A copy of your application to the Mandarin Language Center/university
Interview: April, 2025	Only selected candidates will be invited.
Announcement of Grantees: May, 2025

Please send the completed application form with all required documents to Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Tel Aviv, Azrieli Center 1, 132 Menachem Begin Rd., Tel Aviv 67021. Please note that it is the applicant's responsibility to confirm receipt of their application.

In person at our office:

Azrieli Center 1, Round Building 21st Floor, 132 Menachem Begin Rd., Tel Aviv. Monday to Thursday 9:00-12:00/14:00-16:30, Friday 09:00-11:30.

Incomplete applications will not be considered. Only printed submissions will be accepted.
