The TECC is honored to announce that 2025 MOFA Taiwan Scholarship Program, apart from open to Taiwan’s 12 existing diplomatic allies, will extend to 12 more like-minded democracies and partners, including India with 3 scholarships.
Scholarship recipients may study on the following:
1. The pre-degree Mandarin Language Enrichment Program (LEP): Recipients may take the LEP for a maximum of one year at Mandarin-teaching institutions (hereinafter “Mandarin Training Centers”) affiliated with a university or college accredited by the Ministry of Education. LEP Scholarship is NT$ 28,000 (about 80 thousand Rupees) monthly.
2. Degree programs: Recipients may apply for admission to any degree program leading to an undergraduate, master’s or doctoral degree, excluding in-service programs. Degree Programs Scholarship is NT$ 33,000 (about 95 thousand Rupees) monthly.
Considering that the application deadlines for degree programs at universities in Taiwan typically fall between May and June each year, scholarship recipients for this year may not be able to complete registration in time. Therefore, it is recommended that recipients prioritize enrolling in a one-year Mandarin language program first (Please refer to the Mandarin_Language_Centers_2025), and then apply for a degree program the following year. In principle, the total duration of the scholarship shall not exceed five years. Additionally, applicants who have already been admitted to a degree program at a Taiwanese university for the current academic year are also eligible to apply for this scholarship.
