The Ten Drum Art Percussion Group from Taiwan flamed Delhi in the "Rendezvous 2013." It presented two energy packed performances in the Dogra Hall and under the star lit sky of the Open Air Theater of IIT Delhi, setting the crowd on fire. The 60 min performance enthralled the Delhi audience, and made them cheer and hail. The whole ambience was filled with sound of drums and each beat aroused the passion of the uproaring crowd.
The Grammy award nominated Taiwanese performing art ensemble, the Ten Drum Art Percussion Group gave two debut performances in India at IIT Delhi's annual Cultural Festival from 18th to 21st of October 2013.
Representative Chung Kwang Tien of Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in India, who was invited for the inaugural ceremony of the Cultural Festival to light the inaugural lamp, stated that “I am very proud to say that the Ten Drum Art Percussion Group brings the essence of Taiwan’s percussion art to the Indian audience. Through their performance, I believe that more and more Indian students will be attracted to visit Taiwan and there will be exchange of ideas with young Taiwanese peers.”
This programme is an initiative by Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India with support of IIT Delhi to cherish the bond between people of India and Taiwan through the medium of music.
