Miss Pavithra Kumar, the participant of the Taiwan Study Program for Future Leaders from Indo-Pacific Region 2019 hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan), called upon Director-General Charles Li of TECC in Chennai on the morning of November 5, 2019 and shared her wonderful experiences and thoughts during the Taiwan Study Program. Miss Pavithra Kumar is currently a Mathematics Ph.D. research scholar at Anna University in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, having served as an Instructor at a college. She attended the Taiwan Study Program with other 44 participants from 15 countries at the recommendation of the TECC in Chennai. Through group discussion, lectures and field trips the participants were able to explore and get a better understanding of Taiwan's foreign policy, democracy and human rights, green energy technologies, advanced agricultural expertise and measures to cope with climate change. She hopes her experiences learned from the Taiwan Study Program could somehow benefit the farmers, among others, in Tamil Nadu in partnership of TECC in Chennai and other stakeholders applying the advanced agricultural science and technologies from Taiwan.
