| (University of Zarqa) ZU president, Prof. Mahmoud Al Wadi, received the representative of the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Amman, Mr. Yang, and his accompanying delegation, during which he met with students from Taiwan studying in Zarqa University, in the presence of the President of the Board of Directors of Zarqa Corporation for Education and Investment (Owner of Zarqa University) Dr. Mahmoud Abu Shaera.
Dr. Al Wadi valued the brotherly relations between the two countries, and briefed about the university disciplines and centers and the developments that ZU comprises, as well as to strengthen cooperation and communication among Zarqa University and the Embassy of Taiwan. He also stressed on the importance of these meetings, which positively reflected on the academic and educational level with friendly countries. The representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Taiwan thanked Zarqa University administration and those who made it their interest to students from Taiwan. He also praised the scientific and educational prestige witnessed by Zarqa University, wishing them further progress, noting the keenness of the Taiwanese Embassy to cooperate with Zarqa University to enjoy its good international reputation. At the end of the meeting souvenirs were exchanged between the two sides, and the Representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Taiwan and his accompanying delegation, toured Faculties, departments and scientific centers at the university.
