1-a. Visitor Visa for Tourism Purpose
For those holding passport and travel documents from the following countries :
Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Cameroon, Gambia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Senegal, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Vietnam, and Japanese Re-entry permit

Please prepare a document, which proves that you have been obtaining over 300,000 JPY in your bank account for past 3 months. The bank summary (balance summary) must be issued within 1 month. (We do not accept screenshots) 2. Documents issued outside of Japan and Taiwan must be authenticated by an R.O.C. (Taiwan) overseas mission beforehand 3. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by a Chinese- or English-translation version. The original language documents and the accompanying Chinese- or English-translation must be authenticated by an R.O.C. (Taiwan) overseas mission |

Processing time: 1 Week
1. For exceptional cases and those where concurrence is required from the ROC’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), the amount of processing time taken is dependent upon the length of time taken by MOFA to complete its verification and approval. Under such circumstances, our officers will advise applicants independently on the actual processing time required depending on the nature of the case.
2. Visas are issued as stipulated by Article 12 of the Statute Governing Issuance of ROC Visas for Foreign Passports. As a sovereign nation, the ROC has the right to refuse applications for visas without providing any explanation for such decisions; visa application fee is not refundable.
3. Interview may be required when necessary.
4. If a minor is applying for a visa, the head of household must be present at the time of application. The visa application form must be signed both by the applicant and by the head of household, and their signatures must match those in their passports. The applicant must also submit a copy of the head of household’s passport as well as a document proving kinship, for example a birth certificate or a Japanese certificate of residence (住民票).
