Solid Waste Management and Recycling Project raising awareness in SKN

Since its launch, the team of the Solid Waste Management and Recycling Project has been laying down the groundwork for establishing a nation-wide recycling system. One of the most crucial tasks is to raise awareness of 3Rs- Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. For that purpose, the Project worked with the Caribbean Youth Environment Network and The Ripple Institute SKN to organize a bottle drive on March 19 and a coastal cleanup on March 26, to promote the importance of waste sorting and recycling. The Project was also at the Nevis Agriculture Open Day 2022 to demonstrate how to recycle properly.

People often say that it takes a village to raise a child. We believe it also requires a whole country's efforts to establish a country-wide recycling system. We sincerely invite all of you to join us in implementing 3Rs in your daily life while we await the Project to launch scheduled recycling collection in June.
