The Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis held the Launching Ceremony of the Green Energy Transition Demonstration Project on April 2, marking a significant milestone in the Federation’s journey toward sustainable energy development.
Hon. Konris G. M. Maynard, Minister of Public Infrastructure, Energy and Utilities, expressed sincere appreciation for Taiwan’s longstanding support in advancing clean energy, emphasizing that Taiwan and Saint Kitts and Nevis have built a strong and enduring energy partnership.
Minister Maynard noted that Taiwan’s extensive experience in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure plays a vital role in supporting the Federation’s energy transition, with promising prospects for future collaboration.
Ambassador Edward Ling-wen Tao welcomed this important milestone and expressed optimism following the successful signing of a cooperation agreement during Minister Maynard’s recent visit to Taiwan. He highlighted Taiwan’s strengths in solar and broader renewable energy technologies and reaffirmed Taiwan’s commitment to deepening cooperation in support of a sustainable future.
The project underscores the shared vision of both countries to transform natural resources into sustainable solutions, strengthening bilateral ties while advancing global efforts toward green development.
