A heartfelt thank you to all our friends and distinguished guests who joined us at Vilnius City Hall to celebrate the 113th National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan)! Your support made the evening unforgettable, and we are truly grateful. Iš mažos gilės išauga didelis ąžuolas. Kartu sukursime dar daugiau sėkmės istorijų. From a small acorn grows a great oak tree. Together, we will create even more success stories.
In her remarks, Representative Constance Wang emphasized the shared values of democracy, freedom, and human rights that unite Taiwan and Lithuania. She highlighted the significant progress in our partnership this year, including Taiwan’s $10 million investment in Lithuania’s fintech TransferGo, ongoing cooperation in semiconductors, and Taiwan’s contributions to supporting Ukraine alongside Lithuania.
We also shared a taste of Taiwan with delicious dishes like braised pork gua bao and bubble tea, prepared by a Lithuanian chef using local ingredients, along with samples of Taiwan’s Kavalan whiskey! The evening was a true celebration of our cultural ties.
As a special thank you, our guests received National Day gifts, including a calendar featuring the beauty of Taiwan through the lens of Lithuanian photographers, symbolizing the deepening bond between our two nations.
Thank you once again for making this night so special! We look forward to a even brighter future for Taiwan-Lithuania relations.
