Trade Associations of Taiwan and Latvia Sign Agreement of Mutual Trade Cooperation

Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei (IEAT) and Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) sign the Agreement of Mutual Trade Cooperation on July 14, making it the first Taiwan-Latvia business and trade MOU.
IEAT Secretary General Mr. Peter Huang points out that the strategic geography location and abundant natural resources of Latvia make it a perfect junction for European and Asian markets.
LCCI President Mr. Aigars Rostovskis regards Taiwan as an economically well-developed economy and indicates the agreement serves as a gateway to Taiwanese enterprises and Taiwan market.
Also invited to witness the signing ceremony, Ambassador Lee says the agreement not only celebrates existing cordial relation between Latvia and Taiwan, will also certainly grant a wide range of business opportunities and mutual prosperity. Taiwanholds an important position in global market and supply chains as the 16th largest trading economy and the fourth holder of foreign exchange reserve in 2021. Both Taiwan and Latvia are like-minded partners under democratic camp, and share the values of freedom, democracy, and human rights. These factors make Taiwan one of the most valuable and trustworthy partners for Latvia!
