As more and more countries are suffering from COVID-19, in order to help Taiwan’s diplomatic ally, H.E Ambassador Jeffery S.C. Hsiao of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Samuel Lin, president of RMI Taiwanese Association, jointly donate 7,000 bars of soap to schools in Majuro and Ebeye. The handover ceremony is held on the 26th of March, 2020 at the office of Minister of Education, and the purpose is to help students and household members develop good habits of washing hands to fight against COVID-19.
Other than the soap, Taiwan provides fund to help Majuro Hospital build negative pressure isolation rooms and quarantine center. The assistance showcases the sincerity to our friend, and really meets the need of RMI.
