As the "Majol 2024 Micro Games" starts on June 15th, the Marshall Islands will welcome 1200 athletes and personnel. To support this event, the Taipei Medical University-Shuang-Ho Hospital has made generous contributions.
Shuang-Ho Hospital donated sports protective gears to the "Majol 2024 Micro Games" and dispatched two professional rehabilitation and emergency physicians to provide medical assistance. These physicians will be on-site from June 12th to June 28th, offering training in sports injury care, Basic Life Support, and Basic Trauma Life Support.
Additionally, Shuang Ho Hospital donated Electroencephalography (EEG) equipment and provided technical support in the hope of addressing the incidence of epilepsy in the Marshall Islands. This enables Majuro Hospital to transmit EEG data to Shuang Ho Hospital for expert interpretation, enhancing epilepsy care.
The donation ceremony on June 11, attended by Ambassador Steve C.C. Hsia and Health Minister Ota Kisino, highlighted the strong partnership between the two countries. Minister Kisino expressed gratitude for Taiwan's support. Ambassador Hsia praised the Marshall Islands for their global support of Taiwan and acknowledged Shuang Ho Hospital's decade-long commitment to advancing healthcare in the region.
