The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Myanmar is pleased to announce that we will be accepting applications for the 2024 Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES) through March 31, 2024.
The Huayu Enrichment Scholarship is provided by the Ministry of Education to encourage international students to undertake short-term Huayu (Mandarin Chinese) courses in Taiwan.
Duration: 3, 6, or 9 months between September 1, 2024 and August 31, 2025
Eligibility: Applicants must be Myanmar citizens at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or above, demonstrate excellent academic performance, and be of good moral character.
Application documents:
Completed application form (and signed Terms of Agreement)
Statement of purpose (one page, single-spaced, size 12 Times New Roman font)
Copy of Myanmar passport
Copy of the diploma/certificate from the applicant’s highest degree attained as well as a copy of the corresponding academic transcript (unofficial or student-printed copy of transcript is acceptable)
Proof of application to a Mandarin Language Center in Taiwan (for example, a copy of the application form)
A letter of recommendation written within three months
Application and supporting documents should be sent to the following email postmarked by March 31, 2024.
