The National Central Library and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) have jointly organized the exhibition "A Shared Sky: The World of Chinese Texts and Cultural Exchange", which officially opened on November 27 at UTAR’s Kampar Campus. The exhibition will be open to the public until January 6, 2025, and visitors are warmly invited to explore its rich display of Chinese culture and knowledge.
In conjunction with the exhibition, the National Central Library also hosted the "Taiwan Lectures on Chinese Studies" on the same day. As part of the initiative to establish the "Taiwan Resource Center for Chinese Studies," Professor Guan Kean-Fung, from the Department of Chinese Literature at National Tsing Hua University, was invited as the lecturer. This event aims to promote Taiwan studies and foster a vibrant Sinology research environment through international scholarly exchange.
Guests included Deputy Director-General Weng, Chih-Tsung of National Central Library, Dr Choong Chee Keong, Vice President of UTAR, Ms Charlin Chang, Director of the TECO Education Division, Assoc. Prof Dr. Chong Siou Wei of UTAR's Institute of Chinese Studies, Ms Ang Suan Sim, Director of Mary KUOK Pick Hoo Library, Director of International Office Dr. Lai Soon Onn, Professor Guan, Kean-Fung of Department of Chinese Literature, National Tsing Hua University and Dr Cheng, Ching-Ju of National Central Library.
