Strengthening Taiwan-Malaysia Ties through Parliamentary Diplomacy

From Penang to Kuala Lumpur, a delegation from the Legislative Yuan’s Foreign Affairs and National Defense Committee visited Malaysia from September 13–17, led by Convener Ma, Wen-Chun , joined by Legislators Lu, Yu-Ling , Cheng, Cheng-Chien , and Weng, Hsiao-Ling .
The delegation visited Taiwanese businesses and exchanged views with local communities, Taiwanese business leaders, and alumni of Taiwanese universities to learn more about Taiwan’s business presence and development in Malaysia.
Ambassador Lien Yu-ping also hosted the delegation in Penang and Kuala Lumpur, highlighting the importance of strengthening Taiwan-Malaysia economic cooperation and advancing the renewal of the bilateral investment protection agreement.
Parliamentary diplomacy brings together legislators, businesses, and communities, creating more opportunities for meaningful and lasting Taiwan-Malaysia cooperation.
