Requirements for International Conference Visa Application
The R.O.C.(Taiwan) reserves the right not to issue a visa and is under no obligation to disclose the reasons.
1.Passport must be valid at least 1 year on the date of application.
2.Dully completed electronic application form with two passport colour photographs of 2 inches size.
3.Invitation letter (Chinese and English version) inviting you to attend a conference in Taiwan.
4.When necessary, one of the organizers’ Taiwanese ID card (both front and back) is required from the applicant.
5.An Introduction letter from the applicant’s institution signed by either the registrar, the Dean of the faculty, the Vice Chancellor or the Head of Department, Managing Director of the company.
6.Letter of Employment.
7.Updated Resume.(including emergency contact and address)
8.Photocopy of credentials.
9.Personal bank statement reflecting salary payment from the institution or place of work.
10.Evidence of salary payment.
11.Marriage certificate if married, birth certificate of children if married with children.
12.Either confirmed return ticket or booking of the trip for the first time applicants.
13.When necessary, the applicant is asked to provide his/her Birth Certificate.
14.When necessary, visa guarantee number issued from Bureau of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of ROC(Taiwan) is required.
Applicant should note that scheduled appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled in 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment date and time. Applicants who fail to arrive for a scheduled appointment without cancellation/rescheduling his/her appointment would be considered as "no-show".
If an applicant has a no-show for an appointment more than one time, no further appointment would be scheduled for the applicant.
