The Representative and Chief of Taiwan Mission in Nigeria, Mr. Andy Yiping Liu and his wife Yolanda Chen were invited to attend the ‘Cross Currents’ joint exhibition events organized by the Society of Nigerian Artist (SNA) Lagos & Ogun
Chapters on October 15th and 22nd, respectively.
The first Opening was held on October 15th at the Tim & Carol Gallery of Arts in Lagos where they showcased diverse artistic creations from talented multi-generational Nigerian artists. The artworks ranged from sculpture, painting, graphics, photography, print, drawing, ceramics, and textile design.
During the event, Representative Liu was interviewed by several Nigerian Media and passionately shared his appreciation of Nigerian artistry and unique cultural heritage, particularly in the ways the colorful and vibrant artworks are multi-faceted and filled with energy and artistic freedom. He also expressed that the Taiwan Mission is privileged to sponsor & support this celebration and hopes cultural exchanges between Taiwan and Nigeria can continue to expand and usher in more collaborative and interactive opportunities.
