If your passport has been lost or stolen you must immediately report the incident to the local police authorities and contact the nearest ROC Embassies and Missions Abroad for a new passport.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
- Completed passport application form
- Two identical passport size photos
- Lost Property Report issued by the local police authorities
- Self-description of a lost/stolen passport
- Proof of your lawful residence in New Zealand
- e.g. New Zealand passport, other country passport with New Zealand visa, citizenship certificate, etc.
- Application fees
- $77NZD: For an ordinary e-passport with five-year validity. OR
- $53NZD: For applicants under 14, and male applicants between the ages of 19 and 37, unless not obligated to attend military service. This passport is valid for three years. OR
- $17NZD: For applicants who cannot wait for the usual re-issuance time. This passport is only valid for one year.

- Application form for endorsement or amendment of Taiwan passport (if applicable)
- If passport information is not up to date or is requiring endorsement/amendments, please complete and sign the passport endorsement/amendment application form. Relevant legal documentary evidence will be required for verification purpose.
- Application form for overseas compatriot identity endorsement of Taiwan passport (if applicable)
- For obtaining/transferring your "Overseas Compatriot Identity Endorsement" (僑居加簽).
- Parent's ROC passport and Taiwan household registration transcript issued within three months (if applicable)
- For those under 18 years.
- Certificate of study OR study permit for the courses starting within three months (if applicable)
- Only applies to ROC male nationals with military service obligation. Applicants may need to provide a certificate of study to prove his student status (males between ages 19 and 37).
- Additional documents may be required depending on the circumstance (such as ROC military service discharge order or travel itinerary or ROC ID card or Taiwan household registration transcript or birth certificate, etc.)
DURATION
It takes 20~25 working days to process an e-passport or 5~10 working days to process a non-electronic passport. Please note: the processing time begins when we receive a correctly completed application and we have all the information required to issue a passport. Extra time should be allowed for delivery to and from the Passport Office.
