TECO in Auckland participated in the Taiwanese Hwa Hsia Society of New Zealand's 114th New Year's Day Flag Raising Ceremony

The Taiwanese Hwa Hsia Society of New Zealand, in coordination with the flag-raising time at the Presidential Office in Taipei, held a New Year's Day Flag Raising Ceremony at 11:00 AM on January 1st at the Society's plaza. Overseas compatriots living in Auckland, accompanied by the elderly and children, began arriving before 11:00 AM. As the ceremony started, everyone sang the national anthems of New Zealand and the Republic of China, as well as the National Flag Song. The atmosphere was lively, fully showcasing the patriotic sentiment of the overseas compatriots community's deep connection to Taiwan. Director General Kendra Chen extended New Year greetings to the community and reflected on the achievements of Taiwan and the Auckland overseas community over the past year. She encouraged everyone to continue working hand in hand in the new year, making great strides along the path of democracy and prosperity.
