Taiwan’s Fleet of Friendship paid a goodwill visit to Palau on March 13-15. The visit demonstrates an amicable bilateral relationship between the two countries especially in marine patrol cooperation and training.
In a hot sunny day, the visit starts from the official welcoming ceremony. And then in the afternoon Marine Corps’ martial arts performances, Navy marching band, and a softball friendship game take place at the Asahi Baseball Field. The Fleet then set sail from the port for its next destination after a flag-hoisting ceremony on March 15.
Taiwan Embassy appreciate our friends in Palau for joining us at these programs to boost the morale of the Fleet crew, the first two graduating Palauan students from R.O.C Naval Academy, Mr. Francis Tkel and Ms. Shandle M. Techitong, and witness the close friendship between Palau and Taiwan.
Ambassador Wallace M. G. Chow and Rear Admiral Chen, Tao-Hui accompanied Vice President of the Republic of Palau Raynold Oilouch to join the welcoming ceremony.
