On October 18, Ambassador Jessica C. Lee presented the Letter of Credence to His Excellency Surangel S. Whipps, Jr., President of the Republic of Palau in the Capital of Palau, accompanied by Minister of State Gustav Aitaro. Vice President J. Uduch Sengebau Senior, Paramount High Chief Reklai, Senate President Hokkons Baules, Speaker Sabino Anastacio, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and State Matters Senator Mason Whipps, Chairmen of the Committee on Foreign and Domestic Affairs Delegate Mario Gulibert, and all Cabinet members also attended the ceremony.
Ambassador Lee expressed the honor to present the Letter of Credence to His Excellency President Whipps and renew the assurance of President of the Republic of China (Taiwan)’s sincere wishes to the welfare and prosperity of the Republic of Palau. As the Ambassador of a democratic Republic, as well as an admirer of the Austronesian culture, Ambassador Lee will continue to foster the bilateral relations and to enhance Taiwan and Palau partnerships.
