2023 MOE Taiwan Scholarship for Ukrainian Students

The 2023 Taiwan Scholarship programme, sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan), is now open to applicants from Ukraine. The deadline for applications is May 5^th (Friday), 2023.

The programme encourages outstanding Ukrainian students to pursue a wide range of degree programs in Taiwan, improving their future career prospects while also promoting knowledge, understanding and friendship between Taiwan and Ukraine, and fostering academic and educational links.

The scholarship provides an opportunity for Ukraine nationals to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at universities in Taiwan. The award encompasses payment of tuition fees up to a certain level as well as a monthly living allowance of NT$15,000 for undergraduates and NT$20,000 for graduate students.

Taiwan Scholarship recipients can choose to study degree programmes taught in English or in Mandarin. Many Taiwanese universities offer a large number of English-taught courses for international students.

The following documents are to be submitted to the Education Division of the Taipei Representative Office in Poland:

1. One copy of the completed Taiwan Scholarship application form with a hand-written signature.
2. Signed declaration of consent to the processing of personal data.
3. One photocopy of passport photo page.
4. One photocopy of the highest-level diploma and official transcript.
5. A photocopy of admission application materials to universities/colleges in Taiwan (e.g., photocopies of application fee remittance, application form, receipt of application from universities/colleges, email confirmation).
6. Two recommendation letters, signed and sealed from school administrators, professors, or supervisors. Only original hard copy letters will be accepted; photocopies and email submissions of letters of recommendation will not be considered.
7. A copy of a language proficiency certificate:

• For applications seeking to undertake a program not completely taught in English: A copy of the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) test score report or certificate of Level 3 or above.

• Candidates who wish to study exclusively in English must provide official TOEFL results at the specified level or another certificate of English language proficiency recognized by the government, or a diploma from a previous degree taught in English. English-taught academic programs in Taiwan must be accredited by the MOE, otherwise the candidate must present an official letter issued by the university in question (not by the department or section) confirming that the program of study is conducted entirely in English.
