The 2024/2025 Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan), is open to applicants with the Ukrainian nationality.
The program encourages outstanding Ukrainian students to study Chinese language in Taiwan, improving both their language skills and cultural knowledge, while also promoting understanding and friendship between Taiwan and Ukraine, and fostering international academic and educational links.
The scholarship provides a unique opportunity for Ukrainian nationals to participate in intensive language courses in accredited Mandarin centers at Taiwanese universities and colleges. The awarded scholarship amounts to NT$25,000 each month, and can be used to cover the costs of tuition, accommodation and other living fees.
Huayu Enrichment Scholarship recipients can select a Chinese Language Center from an extensive list of institutions in Taiwan that offer Mandarin language courses to foreign students.
- The deadline for submitting the following documents to the Education Division of Taipei Representative Office in Poland is February 29th, 2024.
- One copy of the completed Taiwan Scholarship application form with a hand-written signature.
- One signed declaration of consent to the processing of personal data.
- One photocopy of passport photo page.
- One photocopy of the highest degree diploma.
- An official academic transcript and a GPA certificate.
- One copy of the application confirmation from accredited Chinese Language Centers in Taiwan. (e.g. an admission letter, a photocopy of application fee remittance, email confirmation).
- One recommendation letter, signed and sealed in envelope from university professor or supervisor. Only original signed recommendation letter will be accepted. Photocopies and email submissions of recommendation letters will not be considered.
- Other documents, such as a copy of the TOCFL exam certificate.
All application documents (including the reference letter) must be mailed together to the address below and postmarked no later than February 29, 2024:

Please note that the scholarship application and the application for admission to the language center are two separate processes. Applicants are required to independently submit documents for admission to the selected language center. Candidates who are awarded a scholarship are not automatically registered at the language center. The dates for submitting documents for scholarship and admission for the course may vary.
